Warsztaty Strefy Wolnosłowej

Quick preview of yeaterday’s workshops with Strefa WolnoSłowa,  on assignment for UNHCR Polska.

STREFA WOLNOSŁOWA was founded in 2011 as a continuation of artistic and social work of young people after theater, artistic and cultural studies (at the Warsaw University, at the Theater Academy A. Zelwerowicza in Warsaw and The Academy of fine Arts – ASP Warsaw), specialized in culture animation, intercultural projects, theater and journalism.

As an informal group the Strefa WolnoSłowa took part in few international theater events, european projects and festivals. The members of this group organised cultural festivals and workshops for children, youngsters, immigrants and refugees in Poland and abroad (projects realised with Teatro dell’Argine in Italy, Palestine, Bolivia; work for the organisation of the festivals as Biennale of Prague; Shortcut Europe; La Scena dell’Incontro; Fringe Festival; work for the project on the Vietnamese community in Warsaw).

The main interest of Strefa WolnoSłowa lays in the promotion of intercultural dialogue and education through art and culture, in the international and intercultural activities involving immigrants and refugees, in initiatives on the themes of the cultural diversity, human rights and the European awareness. Members of Strefa WolnoSłowa are theater trainers, cultural animators, photographers and writers. The group combines in their activities art and social involvement with focus on the activities that can change social perception of problems and act for a civil participation in culture and social debates.”
